Original S10 for $197 post-Christmas on Best Buy

Several websites are reporting that Best But will offer the original S10 for below $200 on the 25th and 26th.

it was the s10e and i got one, even though i had to buy it via my blackberry on 1 bar of service. im looking forward to making it a nice little toy.

Just got that deal!! It will be here anytime soon .. just waiting for the UPS guy.

I'm just wondering if Lenovo had an actual heatsink/fan modification or replacement to fix the noisy fan problem. I heard that there is a .6mm gap with the atom proccie and the heatsink.

Anyway, I really hope they did fix it.

kinda bummed out that I didnt wait for this deal. I got mine a while back from onsale.com for $249+ tax with a $50 rebate but shipping and tax killed the deal making it close to $260 after everything. but running OS X SL 10.6.2 and W7 comfortably on it.

Well, you're good because the one that we bought from best buy is not an S10e! It is an S10 Singapore. It does not have blue tooth and Express Slot 34 as advertised in their website. I haven't called them yet to ask what is happening.

In return to those missing stuff, there is a simcard slot and an extra minipcie slot on the bottom (enclosed by its own door). Which I think makes it better than an S10e because I have use for that minipcie slot (Broadcom Crystal HD encoder or possibly ION 2). Anyway, I hope I can get any discount or something from bestbuy since they had a false advertising or maybe an error. Dunno yet.

LAST UPDATE:

I called Lenovo and they said that the product is fully supported regardless that it is a Singapore model.

I also called Best Buy and the nice lady said that she will report it about the wrong advertisement and to see if it will be corrected.

She gave a $20 coupon because I told her that I bought a bluetooth from China.

To sum it up, I'll keep the S10 Singapore model
