So this is my third time installing OSX on 3 different machines but first time i'm getting "HFS+ partition error". I've looked at some guides and it all says to type "fdisk -u /dev/rdisk0" in terminal after rebooting from the disc. The problem is, i'm getting a "permission denied" when i type "Y" when asked if i want to mess with the masterboot.
Any advice?

Well...i did a fresh install using the MSIWinx86 iso. It's the same one i've been using for my other notebooks. After installing, i remove the DVD drive and reboot....that's when it reboots and i get the HFS+ partition error. Following the instructions in other threads, i reboot with the DVD and go thru the whole process but this time running Terminal and putting in the command as in the guide but i'm get "permission denied" It's the first time i'm getting this "permission denied" msg so i really don't know how to move forward from here.
Anybody else had such a msg and managed to get pass it?
