Hello,
how did you start the "chocolate legacy kernel" ?
In an other Forum, someone posted this for his Dell, eventually we can use it for the S10-2:
"
1. Terminal-Konsole unter OSX öffnen
2. Befehl "sudo pmset lidwake 0" eingeben + Enter

On English (excuse me, my English is not the best)
1. Open the Terminal
2. type "sudo pmset lidwake 0" and press ENTER
3. Change the Hibernation-Mode by typing "sudo pmset hibernatemode 3" and press ENTER
4. You have to deactivate the "Legacy USB-Support" in your BIOS

The Dell Mini takes about 1 second to go into Standdy, while the wakeup takes about 0,5 seconds

I hope this would help, Sleep on S10-2 would be great

Not working.
puttinginto sleep mode or closing lid causes machine to reboot.

I also tried to simply edit my DSDT. but did not get through. I successfully upgrade to 10.6.3 with NIB 8.14, but i did not get the bluetooth to work, sleep works but instead of waking up, it just reboot. I tried both sleepenabler and lidsleep. stil not working....... pretty frustrated. can any one come up with some idea, i would like to test on my s10-2

I would also appreciate a fix for sleep on the S10-2

You could use insomniaX to temporary deal with the sleep issue.

Hi There

I'm another S10-2 owner.
I seem to have similar, yet slightly different issues.

1) SL 10.6 with vanii's enabler
When I try to sleep, it immediately wakes up with a Kernel Panic
2) SL 10.6 with vanii's enabler; without vanii's DSDT patch
When I try to sleep, it immediately wakes up with a black screen (i.e. No backlight)
3) SL 10.6 with vanii's enabler; without vanii's DSDT patch; with NBI 0.8.4's DSDT patches
When I try to sleep, it immediately wakes up with a black screen (i.e. No backlight)
4) As #3, Using NBI's option to regenerate a custom DSDT.aml
When I try to sleep, it immediately wakes up with a black screen (i.e. No backlight)
5) As #4, Using NBI to disable Hibernate
When I try to sleep, it immediately wakes up with a Kernel Panic

So, where to from here?

So, just a quick update:

I installed 10.6.3 on my S10-2
Rebooted, everything seemed to still be working.

So, again, the notebook goes to sleep... kinda.
The display is black, and I have no response from any keys.
This makes me think it's "sleeping" but of course, now I can't wake it up

exactly the same here, fresh install with NBI 0.8.4 RC1, update to 10.6.3, UpdateExtras ran, on sleep it instantly wakes up with a black screen and the fan going on...
I read some issue that S10 wasn't recognized by UpdateExtras, where can I see that? I just get a window when I run it where I can klick "Update Extras"...

I have found that (for me) the nicest combo currently is 10.6.3 with 1.1.3 of Vanii's enabler.

I have everything except sleep.

Oh well, guess I'll wait for the 1.1.5 enabler then :p
