touch pad drags on x-axis

I have recently installed the latest version of quick-start after downloading from lenovo site (at the crawling rate). First problem was with the resolution for which I found a solution in another topic and now the resolution is set to my screen size. Another problem that I am facing now is the slow mouse movement in the x-axis. The touchpad seems to be working fine with y-axis movement but x-axis (left right) movement is very slow and I have to drag the pointer somehow to get anything done.

Any solutions to this problem?

This is a common issue with the S10 running any operating system other than Windows. There is a fix for it for Ubuntu. Maybe someone can come up with a way to implement it for Splashtop.

I remember running Suse on my S10 for a while and this was driving me nuts to the point where I put Windows back on. I've heard some OSX people having the same issue but haven't heard of any solutions. I guess most of them is just dealing with it...?

I too am planning to install Ubuntu Nebook Remix. This problem with touchpad on splashtop is driving me crazy.
