Quick Start for S10 Official release

Postby lightxspeed » Thu Apr 30, 2009 12:48 pm

Finally, there is a Quick Start for S10 Official release. It's version 1.1.8.8. (No patch is needed)

By the way, we've got version 1.0.17.2 working on S10/S9 too.

Noob question...
Is "quick start" the same as "splashtop"? My s10 (with 80gb) doesn't have it.
ME

I think I got it. I've recently flashed my bios and installed it!

Yes ...
Black (160 GB HD) and Ruby Red (80 GB HD)
Added 2 GB memory and bluetooth (hellowifi) to both of them ...
Running quickstart 1.0.16.3 on both ... (thanks lightxspeed)

Can't say I'm particularly impressed with the battery life under Splashtop. In Windows 7RC1my battery life is showing 1:26mins (56%) and in Splashtop shows 1:16mins (63%). Anyone else notice something similar?

Is it misreporting battery information in Splashtop? I confess that I haven't done an actual test of battery life to see if it's accurate. Would love it if Splashtop looked a little more polished (the actual applications), but have to say that I'm happy at least Lenovo made this available for all S10 users. Kudos to them.

Skype in particular seems to have very squashed looking text - I've got the 1024x600 screen and performed the resolution setting hack found in these forums. Anyone else confirrm theirs looks as I've described?

Happy Splashtopping. :)

It even works with the Broadcom wireless N card :p I've "upgraded" my wireless card and i'm shocked to see it work in Spalshtop.

FYI.
