Lightspeedx

Thats very nice of you to try out that for us.
I just read the QS help file, it was better than I thought, fairly in depth.
Heres an interesting thing it said... If you want to bypass quickstart during bootup, press the NOVO (ONE KEY) button (next to the wireless button above the function keys) BEFORE you push the power button. This will bypass QS and put you right into windows or your boot menu. Thats a nice option actually, so now you can configure QS once from the bios or the windows QS config tool, and then use the NOVO key to bypass QS at will.

WORKED PREFECT FOR ME!

I downloaded and installed from Lenovo, unzipped your file... Copied OVER the files to the work directories, and PRESTO!

Thanks! This is great.

Hi everyone !

It seems that Lenovo didn't like this finding since all downloads of Quickstart have been removed from the Lenovo web site.

Is it legal to ask for a mirror on rapidshare ?

Regards,
MkV.

Edit : Ooops, Links are ok now, my bad.

This is fantastic. Thank you very much for your persistence!

I now have a triple boot - OSX/Win7 preceded by splashtop. Perhaps the most convenient combination of OS's I've ever had.

Thanks again.

It appears to be a problem with DNS when using wireless. I see abnormally long resolving delays when using wireless via WPA2, WPA2, or open gateways. I experience it when connecting to different wireless gateways as well. This problem is NOT there when connecting to the same locations using an Ethernet connection to the same router.

UPDATE ... I still was having S L O W DNS resolves with wireless connections thru my netopia router. I was able to solve it by hard coding the primary and secondary DNS server addresses into my Splashtop wireless config for the netopia WPA/WPA2 connection ...

All seems well now ...
Black (160 GB HD) and Ruby Red (80 GB HD)
Added 2 GB memory and bluetooth (hellowifi) to both of them ...
Running quickstart 1.0.16.3 on both ... (thanks lightxspeed)

Thanks for the files/info, I have it all working, but have noticed a slight bluring of the fonts, could this be that Splashtop is running in 1024x576 and the S10 video is expanding it out to 1024x600? (or is it only me and do I need my eyes checked again, but the text looks much sharper in XP)

Again thanks and the bluring is not really a problem, but it would be nice to get rid of it.

Neil,

I also had blurring of the display with Splashtop and this new CEFULL. I was running 14CN59WW bios and QS 1.0.17.0 ...
I uninstalled QS 1.0.17.0 and installed QS 1.0.16.3 ... still running 14CN59WW bios ... and my display problem went away. It is sharp now.
You might want to try that ...

I have tested. The answer is YES, the QS 1.0.17.0 is running with 1024*576 and expanding to 1024*600 on our S10 which QS 1.0.16.3 is running with 1024*600.

Thanks for your reply. Beside "CEFULL", did you overwrite the "QSTART.000" folder??

Maybe as you say it's because Splashtop is running in 1024x576 and the S10 video is expanding it out to 1024x600. I'll test it.

No ... I only overwrote the CEFULL file in QUICKSTART.SYS ... nothing else ...
