The S netbook is NOT an Apple product and was never intended to run Mac OSX. Fortunately, enthusiasts have found ways to make OSX run on our netbook. However, the process may not be smooth for some. Make sure you have patience and time to get it to run. Most importantly, motivation to read and learn. This forum contains enough information to get OSX running. Anyone knows how to get vanilla Power Management working ? I can get AppleintelcpuPM to load, but then my screen goes fuzzy and i can barely see things... WIth a Disabler it's fine, really weird !

Proper DSDT and I used MacBook5,1 as my identifier instead of Air. Not sure if this is your issue though.

@klaus rudi: this is not weird, it is expected. if you change your memory configuration your dsdt is no longer valid. you have to create a new one for your new memory configuration.
UNIX is user-friendly! It's just very choosy about who its friends are, and even best friends fight sometimes.

Aaah - okay, that makes sense... Thanks for the info!
Btw, I meant with strange behavior: On 10.6 my iMac arranges all desktop symbols on the right corner after restarting. Have to use 3rd-Party-(Memory-)Tool for solving that problem. Instead of solving those problems Apple releases the next version: Lion.
Congratulations, Apple! You're becoming the next Microsoft! Older OSX versions were more stable / better to use for work... The I-Gadget-Kids get on my nerves, really...

I suppose we cannot use it on S10-2? That would be great! The Sound devices are not the same?
Keep up that good work!

S10-2 has ALC272. Its totally different from S10 Models.. FYI S10 and S12 have the same sound chip.
I can give you the patched AppleHDA for your S10-2 if you want. Its not that perfect though. It has a popping sound at the beginning, but all works.

@rais : would you mind sharing your DSDT so I can see about power management ? My issue is weird, my screen is jumping, like GPU problem, but when I disabled AppleIntelCPUPM, it's fine, so for sure no problem with the GMA 950.
OSX 10.6.8 with WLAN, WWAN, LAN, AppleHDA :)

A bit of trial and error, but i've got 10.6.8 running. Only issue is sleep (have the newest SleepEnabler installed). The S10 will go to sleep and the machine will wake up but screen will not wake up. Didn't have this issue in prev. versions of 10.6.

Any thoughts/ideas?

EDIT - seems to be backlight issue. tried older version of framebuffer to no avail. thoughts?

EDIT - reinstalled enabler .18 - all is well! hopefully this saves someone a few hrs...
