The S netbook is NOT an Apple product and was never intended to run Mac OSX. Fortunately, enthusiasts have found ways to make OSX run on our netbook. However, the process may not be smooth for some. Make sure you have patience and time to get it to run. Most importantly, motivation to read and learn. This forum contains enough information to get OSX running. Hey all,

I have a s10e running snow leopard and I love it.

I've tried doing a search but I haven't found much. Couple issues I'm hoping to resolve:

1. How do I enable mulittouch?

2. USB works great for charging phone, plugging in external keyboard, but why doesn't it recognize my external hard drive??

3. Using disk Utility ALWAYS yields 1000s of repairs... it this normal?

4. Plugging in external speakers via headphone jack yields a ton of feedback hum. . . anyone else experiencing this. It's pretty bad and makes it almost unusable.

Thanks in advance.

I love this little Macbook Nano!

For your external hard drives, download Multibeast and install the 10.6.2 iosubfamily rollback drivers here http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2010/04/ ... -x-on.html

For audio, delete AppleHDA and IOAudiofamily.kext in System/Library/Extensions and Voodoohda.kext if installed. Also check to make sure you don't have either in Extra/Extensions. Then install VoodooHDA found in the S10Enabler installer or download a copy of VoodooHDA 0.2.2 (has a preference pane to turn down iMix setting which distorts sound), run Disk Utility and repair permissions. Then run the following command in terminal and reboot (just copy and paste the whole command after changing your hard drive name).

sudo rm -rf /Volumes/YOURHARDRIVENAME/System/Library/Extensions.mkext /Volumes/YOURHARDRIVENAME/System/Library/Extensions.kextcache /Volumes/YOURHARDRIVENAME/System/Library/Extensions/Caches /Volumes/YOURHARDRIVENAME/System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/Extensions.mkext

(last line ends in .mkext not mke: )
Hope this helps
