It's not a laptop nor is it supposed to be. It's like saying your iphone wouldn't replace your desktop...just not an argument. Don't like a feature or two missing, give a year. The ipad will be big...and as all pre-haters have proven they really don't have a complete understanding of the functionality. We already know some of your claims are wrong.

Right it's not at all laptop and noone should compare it with laptop. It's just an iPod with big screen- a huge sized iPod. But I personally don't like it's that big size because we can't carry it in our pocket. And it doesn't has that much features as it's size which is absolutely disappointing as already stated.

I had the opportunity to play around with one. It's a tablet, that's the category it "should" be in. it will have iWork which is the office suite that MAC has compared to Windows' Office suite. So it will be a light weight basic work machine. It's great for those who are already using netbooks but it's not meant to replace a laptop. I'd say I'd only get one if wanted one for websurfing or to watch videos to replace an iPod. other than that paying $500+ for a supersized iPod touch is a bit on the high side. put down another 3 hundred and you have the new unibody MacBook. enough of my $0.02 it's great but it's limited in it's first generation.
