I've pulled out the original HD with it's original XP installed on it, pretty much brand new.
I put in a new HD and now have OSX running fine and hopefully will never have to use XP again - but I have installed the original XP HD in an external enclosure and was hoping that I would be able to boot to it if I ever needed to. (In case of emergency).
For laughs, today I tried to boot from it, but the S10 would not do it... It tried, but would always fall short of making it and restarts itself.
It comes up with a failed message and asks -
1. Delete restoration data and proceed to system boot menu (scary sounding so I didn't try this one so as to not delete anything accidentally)
2. Continue with system restart (tried - goes into "resuming Windows" and back to the failed message...)
Short of reinstalling it internally, is there anything I need to do to get it to boot to the external XP drive?
Is that choice #1 OK/harmless to try?
