Windows XP Recovery fails

Hello,

I'm trying to recover the preinstalled Windows XP, but any attempt fails. I get the »press F11« message and doing this fires up the recovery system (»windows is loading files …« - green status bar with »© Microsoft Inc«). Little later the ThinkVantage Screen appears and later again a reboot is done - but: my windows installation is unchanged! Windows XP is still running, but due to some mistaken software installs I would like to have a clean system.

If anyone has an idea how to solve this issue I would be very grateful.
