No it is not, but that is the username the package/script or whatever is denoting and wanting, so I don't think it will work with it packaged this way, I'm going to but NBR on for the time being and be happy with that, hopefully Moblin wil figure their stuff out soon and maybe Broadcom will be a bit more open with their drivers. Thanks for all the help! If you find anything out great, but no hurry!

Hi, i've just used information from this thread to build everything. Worked for me. :)

It seems that the problem is more recent kernel version (especially kernel-netbook-devel) than the version after clean install. So before executing this step:
Code: Select all
rpmbuild --rebuild --target=i586 wl-kmod-5.10.91.9.3-1.moblin.src.rpm

update and just restart Moblin. Moblin should load new kernel (the same version for which kernel-netbook-devel package was installed) and you should be able to build wlan module. I think i had the same "glen user" warnings but just ignored it.

Woh.. I cant believe I got this working..
I was getting the 404 error like others.
I went to the Slaine site and downloaded "wl-kmod-5.60.48.36-1.moblin.src.rpm" I tried this via terminal, but no go.. So I hosted the file on my personal site and replaced "http://slaine.." with my site.
Bam. Done.. Followed the rest of the instructions and it worked.

Ive been using OSX on my S10 for a month or two now - after getting the S10 out of the closet and blowing the dust off her.. While I love OSX and still will use it for the most part... I love how slim these linux installs are.. This is the best ive found.

I just wish the status - local networks had Facebook.. Instead of just lastFM and Twitter.
