Thanks a lot for posting this! I would have never thought to add electrical tape to dampen the clicks.

In my case I didn't have to shave any extra material from anything. I just applied the tape. Closed it up and boom, quieter clicks.

Since this involves removal of the palmrest, I thought it'd be a good place to discuss how hard it is to put it (the palmrest) back in place after disassembling..

Does anyone know the best way of how to get it back into place when reassembling (namely the two tabs on the left and right up by the bottom of the keyboard, they're really hard to get in..)?

EDIT: I just popped mine off again and it seems like it's fairly easy if you sort of bend the edge downward and do one of the tabs at a time.

You can accidentally spill juice on your s10. After I rinsed all the juice out with >95% EtOH, I had quieter trackpad buttons. :idea:
